MEET Scott

Meet Scott Scott has been playing piano since he was very young, around 5 or 6. "I've always liked playing piano because it has a really nice sound," said Scott.

With the uncanny ability to hear a piece once and play it back perfectly, Scott has been a part of Rost School's adult sign language choir, Encore, for a year. He plays piano accompaniment with the background music.

"Scott is very hard working, and I enjoy having him in the choir," Cyndie Imfeld, Choir Director said, "He really likes to perform."

Other than performing with Encore, Scott plays piano with a praise band at his church, Westfork Christian Fellowship. He also performed at the Live for the Levy fundraiser in July 2008, impressing the choir by playing back a song they had just sung without seeing the music.

Though he plays piano most of the time, Scott's first love is the organ.  A member of both the Cincinnati Guild of Organs and the American Theater Organ Society, he has a theater organ at home.

For his 15th birthday, Scott's mom, Celeste, arranged for him to have a chance to play on the famed Wurlitzer organ at the Emery Theater in downtown Cincinnati.  He was very nervous to play, but it was a dream come true.

"Scott's talent is not something I could teach or train him in, and I have many years of music experience," Celeste said. "His talents are a  gift from God."
